Job summary

Houston Public Schools seeks a MARSS Coordinator to oversee collection, verification, and reporting of student demographic and enrollment data per Minnesota Department of Education rules. You will ensure data integrity in the SIS, support MARSS/Ed-Fi reporting, and assist with related federal/state reporting.

The role is part-time (~20 hours/week), primarily remote with occasional in-person meetings, and emphasizes confidentiality and deadline-driven work in a data-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong data governance, accuracy, and deadline management essential.
• Experience with student information systems or state reporting preferred.
• Ability to work with district staff across departments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain MARSS data accuracy and follow MDE guidelines.
• Submit error-free MARSS data to Region V/MDE.
• Manage Ed-Fi configurations across MARSS WES, SIS, and Ed-Fi reports.
• Coordinate with other districts to ensure current student records.
