Campbell Soup Company is seeking a Market Development Lead (MDL) in New Jersey to drive growth by partnering with Independent Distributor Partners and retailers. You will develop routes, lead sales plans, and use market insights to identify opportunities while coordinating with internal teams to optimize routes and promotions.

The role requires 3+ years in sales/CPG (or 2+ with a bachelor’s), travel as needed, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related sales or CPG experience, or 2+ years with a bachelor’s degree
• Strong written and verbal communication, influencing, leadership, problem solving, technical and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to travel locally and overnight, relocate if required, and work flexible hours based on business and retailer needs
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, lift up to 50 pounds and drive regularly to stores, warehouses, and hubs

Responsibilities

• Independent Distributor Partner (IDP) Engagement: build relationships with IDPs, support customer service, identify growth opportunities
• Retail Development: deliver weekly/periodic sales plans, identify market opportunities, plan distribution and promotions
• Business Fundamentals: use data to identify needs and growth opportunities, communicate with partners, support item launches and store resets
• Communicate professionally, manage priorities, use technology and business insights effectively, participate in training and special projects
