Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline seeks a Health Informatics Manager in Market Access to translate HIT insights into practical opportunities for patient identification, care coordination, and workflow efficiency across Western NY, PA, OH, MI, and WV.

The role partners with health systems and GSK teams to align approved HIT capabilities with customer needs and governance requirements, including EHR platforms and digital solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Minimum 2 years of health informatics or EHR-related roles in a hospital, physician practice, or patient-care environment.
• Experience with inpatient or ambulatory clinical workflows and health IT, including major EHR platforms (Athenahealth, Epic, Oracle/Cerner, Meditech, OncoEMR, iKnowMed).
• Customer-facing experience assessing needs and collaborating across teams with hands-on knowledge of EHR products, clinical decision support, patient identification, order sets, care pathways, reporting tools, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with health-system stakeholders to align HIT resources with customer needs and workflows.
• Assess workflows, EHR readiness, data insights, and barriers to improve patient identification and care delivery.
• Educate customers on EHR-enabled tools and support their evaluation for potential use.
• Contribute HIT expertise to account planning and customer engagement with internal partners.
• Serve as HIT resource across Market Access and other GSK units, coordinating support and field input on scalable tools.
