Job summary

HDR, an employee-owned firm, seeks a Coastal & Navigable Waterways Practice Leader in the Transportation group to guide federal feasibility studies and oversee complex navigational, environmental, and economic analyses. You will lead staff, manage programs, and coordinate with sponsors, agencies, and HDR leaders to deliver high-impact waterfront projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Coastal Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional registrations (PE, PTOE, PTP, PMP) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • 15+ years of coastal engineering/planning experience.
  • Knowledge of USACE permitting, USCG rules, and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead companywide Coastal & Navigable Waterways practice to oversee studies and staff.
  • Develop and implement market strategies with Area Business Development Leaders.
  • Manage projects to deliver navigational, economic, and environmental studies on time and within budget.
  • Maintain quality standards and promote HDR's technical excellence.
  • Represent HDR at professional organizations and develop client relationships.
