Job summary

The Accounts Receivable Manager will lead the AR function, coordinating billing, collections, and reconciliations with clients and internal teams to ensure timely cash flow and accurate accounting records.

This role supports month-end close, improves processes, and mentors AR staff within a respected maritime services organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Admin, Finance or related field.
• Prior supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Experience with clients to resolve billing and payment issues preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee collection of Accounts Receivable and ensure timely payments.
• Monitor AR aging and minimize past-due balances.
• Maintain relationships with clients/principals to facilitate reconciliation.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues in coordination with internal departments.
• Oversee application of customer payments and account reconciliation.
• Prepare AR analysis, aging and collection reports for management.
• Support month-end, year-end close and internal controls.
