Job summary

Moran Towing Corporation seeks a Risk Manager to own risk financing and claims administration across maritime, environmental, industrial, infrastructure, and rail operations. You will coordinate renewals, analyze deductibles, and align insurance with enterprise risk strategies to support Moran’s safety and operational excellence.

The role collaborates with operations, finance, legal, HR, and external vendors to minimize risk while ensuring regulatory compliance and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, Maritime Studies, Law, or related field required.
• 5–8 years of progressively responsible experience in risk management, with 2 years in a management capacity.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience building dashboards and RMIS tools (Power BI, Origami Risk).

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise risk management initiatives.
• Monitor operational, financial, legal, regulatory, and reputational risks.
• Assist business units in evaluating operational exposures.
• Partner with Safety, Operations, and Legal to implement loss-prevention strategies.
• Manage audits, inspections, and incident response planning.
• Track corrective actions from incidents, audits, and claims reviews.
