Job summary

Orion is seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide comprehensive support across bid development, cost control, procurement, and scheduling for marine construction projects. You will guide project teams, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure on-time delivery and profitability.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and environmental compliance, requiring strong leadership and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels to achieve successful project closeout.

Qualifications

• A B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management or related discipline and a minimum of 8 years' experience is required.
• Working knowledge of Project Management & Administration, Marine Construction Materials Procurement, Estimating, Scheduling, Project Tracking Software, Cost Control, Engineering & Project Standards, and Safety & Environmental Compliance.
• Effective communicator with ability to interface with employees at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provides project management guidance and oversight to Superintendents and Foremen for marine construction projects.
• Develops bid proposals for upcoming projects and ensures timely submission of proposals.
• Negotiates contracts and change orders as required by the business.
• Estimates project costs including materials, services, labor, and other costs.
• Procures materials and services from suppliers as required by project needs.
• Interprets project plans and schedules work activities to ensure timely completion.
• Ensures safety and environmental compliance across the project team.
