Job summary

Orion is seeking a Project Engineer for our Houston, TX office to support Gulf Coast marine construction projects. You will assist with bid packages, cost calculations, procurement, and plan interpretation to drive on-time project completion.

The role requires a civil/construct. management background with 2–3 years of related experience; travel may be required for project sites. A strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management; 2-3 years’ experience required.
• Experience in marine construction is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of project management, procurement, estimating, scheduling, cost control, safety & environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Works with Project Management Team to ensure successful completion of projects.
• Monitors costs for materials, labor, and services; tracks expenses.
• Develops bid packages for subcontractors and procures materials.
• Interprets project plans and specifications to guide execution.
• Schedules work activities to meet timeline commitments.
• Interfaces with project team, suppliers, and customers.
• Promotes safety and ensures proper PPE usage and training.
• Contributes to bid proposals for marine construction projects.
