Job summary

Orion is seeking a Project Manager for marine construction to lead project execution, bidding, cost control, and schedule development across self-performing marine projects. You will coordinate with operations, estimators, suppliers, and clients to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.

This role requires 8+ years in heavy civil/marine roles, a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, and strong leadership and communication skills to uphold Orion's Safety,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required.
• Minimum of 8 years of Project Management experience in heavy civil, marine construction, or large infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing self-performing construction projects is strongly preferred.
• Marine construction experience is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of PM, estimation, cost control, scheduling, procurement, and field operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise project management for current and future marine construction projects.
• Provide guidance to Superintendents and Foremen on active projects.
• Develop competitive bid proposals and ensure timely submission.
• Negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and change orders as required.
• Develop detailed project cost estimates including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Procure materials, equipment, and subcontracted services for project execution.
• Interpret drawings, specs, contracts, and engineering docs for teams and clients.
• Develop and maintain project schedules coordinating field activities to milestones.
• Monitor costs, productivity, schedule performance, and financial results.
• Coordinate with project team members, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and engineering personnel.
• Promote a safety culture and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Participate in Safety and Environmental initiatives.
