Job summary

Orion Marine Contractors Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to provide plan interpretation, cost control, and schedule oversight for marine construction projects.

You will develop bid packages, procure subcontractors and materials, and coordinate with project teams to ensure on-time completion while maintaining safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include cost tracking, bid development for upcoming projects, and interfacing with PMs, superintendents, and vendors.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Science or related discipline required.
• 2 years of work experience in project engineering or related field.
• Working knowledge of project management, cost control, and scheduling.
• Experience with marine construction, procurement, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop bid packages for subcontractors and prepare cost estimates.
• Monitor costs for materials, labor, and services against project plans.
• Interpret project plans; schedule work activities to meet timelines.
• Procure subcontractors, materials, and services as required.
• Interface with project team, suppliers, and clients; ensure safety programs.
