Job summary

Orion Marine Group is seeking a Project Engineer to provide engineering support, develop bid packages, and oversee procurement, scheduling, and cost control for marine construction projects. You will interface with project managers, superintendents, and foremen while upholding our safety and integrity standards.

The role requires a BS degree in a related field and at least two years of experience. Travel is expected; strong communication and leadership are essential to deliver projects on time

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Science or related discipline.
• Willingness to travel and make informed business decisions.
• Results-driven with leadership by example and integrity.
• Strong communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to learn quickly the technical aspects and interface with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Project Management Team to ensure successful project completion.
• Monitors actual costs and accounts for materials, services, labor, and other costs.
• Develops bid packages for subcontractors.
• Procures subcontractors, materials, and services as required by project.
• Interprets project plans and specifications; schedules work per plan timelines.
• Interfaces with project team members, suppliers, and customers.
• Ensures safety of the project team and compliance with safety policies.
• Participates in safety and environmental initiatives and bid proposals.
