Job summary

Silvus Technologies is seeking a Business Development Engineer to join the Applications Engineering team in support of the US Marine Corps. The role bridges RF capabilities with customer requirements, working with engineering and business development to advance field-ready solutions.

The position involves up to 50% travel for field tests and demonstrations, with a 100% remote option depending on location. A SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15 months is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related C5ISR field, or HS Diploma with 5+ years in defense/tech.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux environments, or scripting languages (Python, C++) for test automation.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team and travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Support field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations with technical planning and network configuration.
• Demonstrate interoperability and field-readiness of StreamCaster radios across environments.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Business Development to align architectures with requirements.
• Engage with MARCORSYCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval warfare centers.
• Translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs and monitor progress against needs.
