Qualifications

• Flexible schedule across all shifts (including weekends) when necessary.
• Able to work on the production floor for extended periods.
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing equipment, work practices and processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PPT and Visio.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to use logic and problem-solving tools to address business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding, EHS training, bid transfer training and job certification in a manufacturing environment.
• Instructs classroom and on-the-job training for new hires and transfers.
• Provide training when safety, quality or performance issues require retraining.
• Prepare, issue and maintain training materials across various platforms.
• Create, communicate and update training schedules and tracking.
• Monitor and report training progress.
• Follow up with trainees to ensure completion of training.
• Assist with new hire and contractor orientation.
• Investigate training requirements and implement improvements related to EHS, Quality, TPM and Lean.
• Gather information from management and staff to improve training effectiveness.
• Update or write work instructions for equipment modifications.
• Identify and develop on-the-job trainers for all positions across shifts.
• Support community outreach and recruiting as needed.
