Job summary

Clarios is seeking a Manufacturing & Controls Engineer at our Winston-Salem, NC assembly plant to join a team delivering mechanical, electrical, and system design for projects. You will develop process spec changes, update work instructions, and contribute to PFEMA and Flow Charts while becoming a SME for assigned equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
• Ability to design pneumatic and hydraulic systems, create pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to access and edit machine PLC code; RSLogix/Studio5000 PLC programming software- Allen Bradley.
• 3D modeling and 2D drafting experience; SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office applications.
• Other beneficial skills: Minitab, Six Sigma

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-functional teams assignments to develop changes to existing equipment.
• Function as a Project Lead in smaller development projects that have impact on the business objectives.
• Provide technical support for plant operations including maintenance support, capital project implementation, and Six Sigma project rollout support.
• Prepare project review information for leadership on a specified frequency for specified projects.
• Implement process changes on existing equipment, and assist with development and installation of expansion equipment.
• Assist Safety, Environmental, and Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Communicate with plant employees to align project focus and define barriers to production.
• Develop equipment statements of work and acceptance test plans.
• Travel to supplier sites for equipment qualification and testing.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
