Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking a Training Coordinator to develop, implement, and evaluate training programs that support employee performance, safety, and career development. You will work with facility leadership, supervisors, and production teams to ensure resources and training needs are met.

The role involves delivering training via multiple methods, maintaining documentation, and promoting safe work practices in line with regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of training, learning and development, or related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with employees and leaders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor facility training programs.
• Partner with management to assess workforce training needs and opportunities.
• Collaborate with floor leads and supervisors on evaluations and development planning.
• Continuously evaluate training effectiveness and update materials.
• Manage training documentation, records, and reporting for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate and track participation within the Department Mastery Program (DMP).
• Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding programs.
• Create and maintain training materials and multimedia resources.
• Deliver training through classroom, on-the-job, workshops, meetings, and conferences.
• Provide feedback to leadership regarding performance and development.
• Facilitate continuing education and leadership development programs.
• Build cross-functional relationships.
• Provide logistical support for training events and evaluations.
• Assist with strategic training initiatives.
• Lead safe work practices per company policies and regulatory requirements.
