Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking a Training Coordinator to support our Atlas Tube facility in Chicago, IL, focusing on developing and strengthening workforce skills, safety, and performance.

You will design, implement, and evaluate training programs that enhance employee performance and operational effectiveness, coordinating across management and floor teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in training or workforce development.
• Experience managing the full training lifecycle: needs assessment, planning, development, implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to work onsite on a regular, full-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor training programs across the facility.
• Identify training needs with management and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with floor leads and supervisors on evaluations and skill development initiatives.
• Continuously assess training effectiveness and update content as needed.
• Maintain training records, documentation, and progress tracking.
• Coordinate and maintain the Department Mastery Program (DMP) with accurate registration and reporting.
• Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding sessions.
• Create engaging training materials and multimedia content.
• Deliver training through classroom, on-the-job, workshops, and meetings.
• Provide feedback to leadership and support leadership development programs.
• Build strong relationships across departments to support training objectives.
• Ensure safety practices and regulatory compliance in training.
