Job summary

Responsibilities include safety reporting, audits, drug screening administration, and leading risk mitigation. Strong communication and leadership are essential; CHST and OSHA 30 are required or soon-to-be completed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field, plus 3 years of construction safety experience or equivalent
• CHST certification required or within two years of appointment
• SAP or GSP certification preferred
• OSHA 30-hour training and current First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certifications
• Knowledge of safety/environmental principles and regulations
• Ability to identify exposures and propose corrective actions
• Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills
• Proficient use of MS Office and collaboration tools

Responsibilities

• Provide EH&S training to project team on programs, policies and procedures
• Educate teams on safe work practices and enforce adherence
• Promote safe working conditions per regulations and owner requirements
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance
• Attend Pre-Task Planning meetings to review safety programs
• Create safety reports, analyze metrics and recommend improvements
• Conduct safety audits and coordinate corrective actions
• Administer drug screening program per requirements
• Lead safety meetings and document minutes
• Support incident reduction initiatives and risk mitigation
