Job summary

Ridge Corporation is hiring a hands-on Safety Manager to shape the safety culture across our manufacturing facilities in Ohio. You will partner with leadership, work on the production floor, and drive safety initiatives that improve daily operations.

This high-visibility role emphasizes proactive safety programs, training, and compliance with OSHA and EPA requirements. The position requires a strong background in manufacturing safety, program development, and a hands-on approach to reduce risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Occupational Health and Safety or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of safety experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments including developing safety programs, training, and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards and EPA permits, recordkeeping, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety strategies across three manufacturing locations.
• Build a proactive safety culture by partnering with leadership.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs.
• Ensure OSHA and EPA compliance and recordkeeping.
• Manage hazard communication programs and safety documentation.
• Monitor workers' compensation and return-to-work programs.
• Lead emergency preparedness and first responder activities.
• Spend significant time on the production floor engaging employees.
