Job summary

Ridge Corporation is hiring a hands-on Safety Manager to shape the safety culture across our manufacturing facilities in Ohio. You will partner with leadership, work on the production floor, and drive safety initiatives that improve daily operations.

This high-visibility role emphasizes proactive safety programs, training, and compliance with OSHA and EPA requirements. The position requires a strong background in manufacturing safety, program development, and a hands-on approach to reduce risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Occupational Health and Safety or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of safety experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments including developing safety programs, training, and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards and EPA permits, recordkeeping, and reporting.

• Develop and deliver safety training programs.

Salary:$80k-$100k (Negotiable, based on experience)
Plus quarterly/annual bonus potential

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Position Summary:

Ridge Corporation is hiring a hands-on Safety Manager to play a key role in shaping the safety culture across our growing manufacturing facilities. If you're an experienced safety professional who wants to make a measurable difference in how work gets done safely every day, this role is for you.

This is a high-visibility position. You'll partner directly with leadership, work closely with employees on the production floor, and drive the initiatives that move our safety program forward.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and carry out safety strategies across three manufacturing locations
• Build a proactive, behavior-based safety culture by partnering with leadership to make safety part of daily operations
• Serve as a trusted safety resource for every department
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
• Develop and deliver safety training programs
• Ensure OSHA and EPA compliance, including reporting and recordkeeping
• Manage hazard communication programs, including SDS and chemical safety
• Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and documentation
• Monitor workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs
• Lead emergency preparedness efforts and serve as a first responder
• Spend significant time on the production floor engaging employees and finding opportunities to improve
• Take on other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of safety experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments, including developing safety programs, training, and procedures
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards
• Strong working knowledge of environmental compliance, including EPA permits, recordkeeping, and reporting
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or the ability to obtain it)
• A self-motivated, hands-on approach and comfort working in a fast-paced environment

This is a hands-on role with significant time spent on the production floor across our manufacturing facilities.
