Job summary

Stella-Jones is hiring a Safety Supervisor for the Cordele manufacturing plant. You will lead health and safety inspections, audits, training, and policy implementation to ensure compliance and a safe working environment.

The role requires 5+ years in EHS within manufacturing, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to train and motivate teams; travel to EHS events is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred in Environmental or Safety Science.
• 5+ years EHS consulting or facility EHS management in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• License/Certification: NA

Responsibilities

• Health and Safety facility inspections
• Health and Safety facility audits
• Health and Safety facility training
• Health and Safety policy, programs, and procedures implementation
• Perform accident and incident investigation as necessary
• Provide directions to other department supervisors and plant employees on health and safety matters
• Accurate and timely Health and Safety reporting and recordkeeping
• Occasional travel to EHS training events
• May be responsible for additional plant operations
• Participate in and contribute to the company safety program
• Perform other related duties as assigned
