Job summary

Leeco Steel is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee safety programs, training, audits and compliance across facilities with travel as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in OH&S or related field and 5+ years in manufacturing safety. Responsible for incident investigations, SDS management, and coordinating with the ONI Safety Group and vendors. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• 5+ years in safety/EHS in manufacturing or distribution.
• Experience leading safety audits and incident investigations.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Audit warehouse locations for safety compliance, including cranes, chains, slings, and equipment.
• Maintain SDS compliance and documentation for steel products.
• Coordinate safety vendors and training schedules (first aid/CPR/AED, crane operation, forklift).
• Conduct safety trainings, toolbox talks, and new employee orientation.
• Liaise with ONI Safety Group for communication, meetings and reporting.
• Manage emergency response plans, evacuation drills, and safety programs.
• Perform Tier II reporting and environmental compliance.
• Update PPE assessments and coordinate with Quality for document control.
• Carry out risk assessments, JSA/SEMs audits and OSHA training.
• Travel as needed for training and inspections.
