Job summary

Stella-Jones is seeking an EHS Supervisor to ensure EHS and Quality compliance at the Cordele facility in Georgia. The role focuses on health and safety programs, environmental inspections, and incident investigations.

Responsibilities include audits, permit management, training, reporting, and supporting other departments. Travel to EHS trainings may be required; the position offers essential workplace status and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's preferred in environmental or safety science.
• Minimum 5 years EHS consulting or facility EHS in manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Health and Safety facility inspections, audits, and training.
• Implementing Health and Safety policy, programs, and procedures.
• Environmental Facility Inspections: conduct inspections for local, state, and federal compliance.
• Environmental Audits: perform audits to identify improvements and ensure standards.
• Permit Applications: manage permit submissions, renewals, and modifications.
• Incident Investigation: respond to and investigate incidents, mitigate and correct actions.
• Directs other department supervisors and plant employees on health and safety matters.
• Accurate and timely Health and Safety reporting and recordkeeping.
• Occasional travel to EHS training events.
• May be responsible for additional plant operations.
• Participates in and contributes to the company safety program.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
