Job summary

Stella Jones Corporation in Cordele, GA is seeking a Safety Supervisor to ensure Health and Safety compliance at our manufacturing plant. Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED; a Bachelor's in Environmental or Safety Science is preferred.
• 5+ years in EHS consulting or facility EHS management within manufacturing is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health and safety inspections and audits at the facility.
• Coordinate health and safety training for staff.
• Implement and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and report findings clearly.
• Provide guidance to supervisors and employees on safety matters.
• Maintain accurate health and safety reporting and records.

Job description

The Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring Health and Safety compliance at our manufacturing plant in Cordele.

Principal Responsibilities

• Health and Safety facility inspections
• Health and Safety facility audits
• Health and Safety facility training
• Health and Safety policy, programs, and procedures implementation
• Perform accident and incident investigation as necessary
• Provides directions to other department supervisors and plant employees in regards to health and safety matters
• Accurate and timely Health and Safety reporting and recordkeeping
• Occasional travel to EHS training events
• May be responsible for additional plant operations
• Participates and contributes to company safety program
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Education: (Required) High School Diploma or GED; (Preferred) Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Safety Science
