Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership and supervision to production employees, fostering safety, accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members with regular feedback and training.
• Promote employee engagement and address performance concerns.
• Ensure staffing levels and required skills meet operational needs.
• Plan, organize and coordinate shift operations to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Analyze production schedules and work orders to determine labor and equipment needs.
• Assign personnel and equipment to maximize productivity and efficient material flow.
• Monitor production performance and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production, inventory and labor records.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct safety observations, investigations and corrective actions.
• Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure tools, equipment and training are provided for safe work.
• Interpret product specifications and communicate requirements to production teams.
• Coordinate quality inspections and ensure adherence to production standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and cost savings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment performance and product quality.
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Operations to meet production objectives.
• Communicate priorities and updates across shifts and departments.
• Assist in resolving production, personnel, and equipment-related issues promptly.
