Collins Aerospace is seeking an Industrial/Mechanical Engineering co-op in Melbourne, FL to improve operator productivity and optimize manufacturing processes. You will perform root cause analysis, develop countermeasures, and assist tooling design while supporting Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.

The role prefers candidates pursuing a Bachelor’s in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with at least 30 credits earned by start and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and have earned at least 30 credit hours by start.
• U.S. citizenship is required for the co-op role.
• Preference for experience with Microsoft Office, SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Improve operator productivity and manufacturing processes through root cause analysis and countermeasure development.
• Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives including 5S, waste reduction and flow improvements.
• Assist in manufacturing layout planning and standard work development.
