RTX’s Collins Aerospace unit in Melbourne, Florida, is hiring for an Engineering Co-Op in Manufacturing Operations. You will work with manufacturing and test engineers to support production, gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, test equipment reliability, data analysis, troubleshooting, and process improvement.

You will collaborate with Design Engineering and contribute to projects impacting manufacturing performance, with exposure to data analysis, automation, and capacity

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.
• Previous experience with basic statistics and statistical process control (SPC).
• Experience with data analysis, automation, or engineering software such as Python, MATLAB, Excel, LabVIEW, or similar tools.

Responsabilités

• Develop and automate data-collection tools, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve test processes and outcomes.
• Analyze and enhance test equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency while reducing downtime and costs.
• Support capacity planning, ROI analysis, and evaluate test approaches to optimize staffing, production, and capital investments.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting, training, and resolving production issues, including Manufacturing Flow Inhibitors (MFIs).
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to address component obsolescence, maintain test documentation, and manage configuration and change processes.
