Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to plan, direct, and optimize cost-effective manufacturing processes. The role focuses on improving production flow, coordinating equipment, and ensuring operators use machinery properly.

You will collaborate with maintenance to implement predictive and preventative programs, analyze production data, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across lean manufacturing and quality controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or any equivalent technical/engineering field.
• 3-5+ years of related engineering experience, preferably in engineering.
• 1-3 years of engineering experience in manufacturing or assembly processes preferred.
• Experience designing, operating, troubleshooting, or maintaining complex production machinery is desirable.
• Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects.
• Significant hands-on experience with ability to recognize problems, predict potential outcomes, and implement countermeasures quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve manufacturing methods and processes.
• Lead end-to-end planning, direction, and coordination of all manufacturing processes and equipment changes.
• Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to reduce downtime and improve throughput.
• Train operators and develop process documentation such as flow charts, SOPs, and time studies.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and maintain manufacturing process documentation.
