Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support safe operations, drive quality, and optimize production through lean practices. You will work with shop floor, quality, and engineering teams to implement improvements and standardize work across manufacturing cells.

The role requires a engineering degree, 3+ years of experience, and strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering in a related technical field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or related methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and production systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to achieve the safest work environment, the highest quality products, and most efficient production processes.
• Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities throughout the manufacturing process and company.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify, propose, plan, and implement process refinements and enhancements.
• Participate in continuous improvement events and utilize lean manufacturing techniques to develop and improve methods.
• Identify and validate savings opportunities involving labor, direct and indirect materials, process improvements, etc.
• Provide troubleshooting support for production activities in areas of expertise.
• Design tools, fixtures, and production aids to improve efficiencies.
• Develop standard work and manufacturing work instructions and maintain as required.
