Job summary

RTX is seeking a Manufacturing Development Engineer II for an onsite role at our Tucson, AZ facility. You will provide technical manufacturing support from development through transition to production, guiding process choices and implementing manufacturability improvements.

You will develop assembly instructions, workflows, labor standards, and MDPS while reviewing designs for manufacturability. Strong clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM plus 2+ years in manufacturing.
• Experience with manufacturing process development or improvement.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance (secret).
• Ability to obtain interim security clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Participate in manufacturing development.
• Participate in Design for Manufacturing activities.
• Develop processes to ensure factory readiness and producibility.
• Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) and workflows.
• Translate engineering designs into manufacturing processes.
• Apply engineering skills across the value stream to resolve constraints.
• Recommend process changes to meet cost, efficiency and quality goals.
• Identify and resolve program constraints and assist with corrective action.
