Job summary

Voltava in Michigan is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the Plant HR Manager in recruiting, onboarding, payroll processing, benefits administration, employee relations, and HR recordkeeping within a manufacturing environment.

You will partner with site leaders to drive engagement, compliance, safety initiatives, and effective communication across the facility, handling government reporting and workers’ compensation as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HR experience or training in a manufacturing/plant setting.
• Knowledge of HR principles: recruiting, interviewing, compensation, benefits, payroll, and employee relations.
• Experience with employee records, attendance management, performance reviews, and training plans.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and comply with employment laws and company policies.
• Ability to work with leaders and team members at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR operations for the plant and partner with leaders to guide staff.
• Coordinate recruiting and onboarding activities and process payroll-related information.
• Assist with benefits administration and employee relations.
