Job summary

HyTech Spring & Machine in Michigan is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support employees and leaders by maintaining a compliant, productive work environment. You will ensure HR processes are performed accurately, on time, and aligned with company policies.

In this role you will handle employee relations, payroll, benefits, onboarding, OSHA compliance, and training coordination across manufacturing teams, with a focus on communication, confidentiality, and partnership with managers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with payroll and benefits administration.
• Solid understanding of federal and state employment laws.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred).

Responsibilities

• Address employee questions, concerns, and workplace issues with a problem-solving, inclusive approach.
• Lead investigations, disciplinary meetings, documentation, and terminations.
• Manage attendance point administration, incident reporting, OSHA compliance, and employee safety coordination.
• Coordinate periodic performance review cycles (annual, 90-day, and 6-month).
• Ensure HR policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
• Oversee job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and hiring processes.
• Administer onboarding, orientation, I-9 verification, background checks, M2M setup, and new-hire documentation.
• Maintain benefits enrollment, billing reconciliation, and compliance reporting.
