Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Planner to support fabrication and assembly by maintaining Bills of Materials, work instructions, and tooling workflows. You will collaborate with suppliers and engineering teams to ensure producibility, quality, and on-time delivery across programs.

The role requires strong blueprint reading, familiarity with GANTT schedules, and CAD/CAM software knowledge, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• HS/GED or equivalent with related education and/or 5+ years manufacturing planning experience.
• Blueprint reading skills to interpret engineering docs.
• Familiarity with P6 or other GANTT-style schedules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general IT tools.
• Understanding of the Manufacturing Engineering function and processes.
• Ability to earn trust and contribute to an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Maintain BOMs, work instructions, and drawings to define as-built configuration.
• Support supplier development and process integration to meet manufacturing delivery needs.
• Review supplier data to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
• Initiate tooling orders under guidance of senior staff.
• Assist in tooling dispositions and investigations of manufacturing issues.
• Contribute to producibility assessments for part designs with guidance from seniors.
• Review designs and processes to meet cost targets and schedules.
• Develop statements of work and sequencing to support delivery commitments.
• Provide ship-side or field support under supervision.
