Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Planner to translate engineering intent into fully functional hardware and to develop manufacturing plans for test, qualification, and flight hardware for the NewGlenn program. You will support Mfg Engineers, manage BOMs, and drive improvements that enhance safety, quality, and build efficiency.

The role emphasizes collaboration across cross-functional teams, sustained metrics, and readiness for production across facilities in a dynamic aerospace

Qualifications

• Experience with aircraft/spacecraft or similar manufacturing.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering processes, including planning systems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing, including GD&T.
• Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Translating engineering intent and drawings into hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight by crafting manufacturing BOMs and work instructions.
• Train and support Mfg Engineers in the use of system tools to execute work orders and handle nonconformances.
• Provide oversight for creation and revision of manufacturing plans for MRP systems.
• Maintain and communicate manufacturing engineering metrics and schedules.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to reduce build time and improve safety and quality.
