Job summary

Blue Origin LLC seeks a Manufacturing Planner III to write detailed work instructions and support shop floor operations for the New Glenn program. You will ensure engineering requirements are incorporated into builds, and you will manage data, nonconformance dispositions, and manufacturing metrics.

You will train and support Manufacturing Engineering processes, manage system tools like mBOM, change notices, work orders, and engineering changes, and provide shipside support to sustain production

Qualifications

  • HS/GED or equivalent is required.
  • Associate degree or trade school in related discipline with 7+ years of experience.
  • Understanding of Project Management, Lean Six Sigma or lean methods.
  • Intermediate experience with P6 or other GANTT‑style project management tools.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card) or lawfully admitted into the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Leads cell-level development and maintenance of manufacturing plans, BOMs, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration of major production hardware.
  • Leads cell-level development and integration of suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
  • Reviews supplier data to ensure manufacturing-related requirements are met.
  • Develops tooling requirements and initiates tooling orders based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
  • Leads tooling dispositions.
  • Leads investigation of and resolves manufacturing-related issues of a broad scope.
  • Participates in producibility assessments for part or product designs.
  • Provides input to design, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing technologies to meet costs and schedules at the cell level.
  • Develops work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments for major hardware.
  • Reviews, maintains and monitors internal documents and schedules.
  • Provides shipside support.
  • Functions as an individual contributor or part of a cross functional team.
  • Help trains junior teammates
