Job summary

Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking a Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations in the United States to lead the VFT production team.

You will drive continuous improvement, establish lean practices, and manage multiple priorities with a hands-on leadership style to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 5+ years of leadership in manufacturing, with strong experience in electromechanical assembly and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing Operations, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to Safety and 5S standards; maintain zero OSHA recordables.
• Ensure output quality meets OBQ and IBQ targets.
• Collaborate with Quality to drive corrective actions and improve products.
• Oversee VFT production and establish operations planning model.
• Schedule resources with Planning based on customer needs and capacities.
• Manage flow of VFT components to meet production schedules.
• Develop schedules and manpower for VFT.
• Assist with annual budget and inventory targets for VFT.
• Lead continuous improvement and training within VFT Production.
• Implement 8D problem solving and closed-loop actions.
• Track KPIs and lessons learned monthly.
• Identify gaps in production processes and remedy issues.
• Support cross-functional activities for new product development.
