Job summary

Veeco is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing for Final Test to drive a high-quality continuous improvement culture. The role focuses on problem solving with 8D, value stream mapping, and lean principles while managing multiple priorities with a hands-on leadership style.

The successful candidate will prioritize Final Test schedules, meet production goals, and administer procedures and budgets, building credibility and leading a high-performance team in a complex manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business, 10+ years of relevant production experience.
• Experience with ERP systems is required; SAP preferred.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and 5S in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead Final Test efforts to meet quarterly/annual plans and establish an operations planning model.
• Assist with annual budget and resource planning for Production; monitor expenses and inventory targets.
• Develop organization through training, mentoring, and leadership; build high-performance culture.
• Institutionalize 8D problem solving and continuous improvement practices.
• Ensure feedback from quality escapes drives corrective actions with customers.
• Track KPI’s, lessons learned, and corrective actions monthly.
• Coordinate with outsource providers to review schedules and gaps in production.
