Job summary

JCB North America seeks a Material Flow System Design & Optimization engineer to design, optimize, and sustain efficient material flow across the Pooler, GA facility. You will lead PFEP ownership, lineside delivery, and AGV/tugger route design to support fabrication, paint and assembly.

The role requires collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to reduce waste and improve throughput, while maintaining accurate documentation and standards in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years in manufacturing/industrial/logistics, preferably automotive.
• Proficiency with CAD, ERP/MRP, and data analysis tools.
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize material flow systems (PFEP) across the facility.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce logistics costs and improve throughput.
• Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement and IE to align material strategies.
• Develop and maintain PFEPs, layout drawings and work instructions.
• Use ERP/MRP and MES to track material parameters and KPIs.
