Job summary
JCB North America is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Leader to oversee automation, digital systems, and integration on the shop floor for heavy fabrication, including welding, cutting, and material handling. You will drive efficiency through PLCs, HMIs, robots, and AI pilot concepts, partnering with fabrication leadership to meet production goals.
Responsibilities include selecting technologies, developing and implementing SOPs, and training teams while eliminating waste and improving
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree required.
- Three years of fabrication/manufacturing engineering experience in relevant industry.
- Three years of experience in automated manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Identify the latest technology suitable for the manufacturing plant.
- Select right solution for improving shop floor processes using automation.
- Programming, coding and optimization of the automated system, robots, PLCs.
- Trouble shooting of systems and improving efficiency.
- Hands on experience on HMIs, PLC, robots.
- Integration of machines and defining key process controls.
- Promote good work practices for advanced manufacturing plant.
- Develop concepts and pilot projects for automation, digitalization and AI.
- Set and manage training programs to train new team members.
- Promote flexibility in the team.
- Ensure performance standards are met.
- Compile daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes like welding, cutting, forming, machining.
