Job summary

Reading Bakery Systems in Indianapolis is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead parts production and new baking equipment builds. You’ll guide machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly, coaching supervisors and coordinators, and reporting to the General Manager on progress and risks.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in industrial manufacturing with 3+ years leading teams
• Experience in parts manufacturing and machinery assembly
• Able to read drawings, tolerances, BOMs, and specifications
• Experience with production scheduling and ERP/MRP systems
• Proven record of improving cost, quality, or delivery
• Bachelor’s degree in technical/operations field or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production and set priorities on the floor
• Balance schedules with available personnel, materials, equipment, and capacity
• Coach coordinators, provide clear expectations and feedback
• Improve safety, productivity, and cost through practical improvements
• Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, Sales, Customer Care, and Shipping
• Provide operational leadership during designated absences
