Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a senior HR Manager who will assume Director responsibilities across two plants, with travel to CA facilities and possibly HQ. You will partner with plant leadership and the union to maintain positive relationships and drive data-driven HR strategies.

The role demands hands-on HR leadership, staffing, employee development, and adherence to HR policies while aligning with the annual operating plan. Strong HRIS skills and manufacturing experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of HR experience in manufacturing settings.
• 2+ years of union experience and CBAs is a plus.
• 3+ years of HR leadership overseeing multiple staff.
• Willingness to travel quarterly to CA plant, up to 25%

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for the HR department, staffing, workflow management, team development, and performance evaluations.
• Implement HR policies, employee relations programs, and employment initiatives.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing employee development for assigned sites.
• Manage labor relations, CBAs, grievances, and partner with union leadership.
• Conduct investigations and ensure legal compliance, confidentiality, and consistency.
