gpac is seeking an HR Manager to lead HR across multiple manufacturing locations, partnering with site leadership and corporate management to ensure compliant HR practices, employee engagement, and workforce development.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR leader on the manufacturing floor, skilled at recruiting hourly workers to senior leadership, and comfortable traveling between facilities to support teams and leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or high-volume environments.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations or facilities.
  • Proven ability to recruit both hourly production employees and salaried leadership/professional talent.
  • Strong employee relations and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with employees from manufacturing floor to executive leadership.
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, and MS Office.

Job description

The HR Manager will be responsible for leading and supporting human resources activities across multiple manufacturing locations. This position will serve as a strategic and hands‑on HR partner to site leadership, employees, and corporate management while ensuring consistent HR practices, employee engagement, compliance, and workforce development across all locations.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on HR leader who is comfortable on the manufacturing floor, understands the challenges of recruiting and retaining hourly employees, and has the ability to recruit everything from line‑level production workers to plant managers and other leadership positions.

Key Responsibilities
Multi‑Site HR Leadership
  • Provide HR leadership and support across multiple manufacturing locations.
  • Partner with Plant Managers, Operations leaders, and other management teams to address workforce and organizational needs.
  • Establish consistent HR policies, procedures, and best practices across all locations.
  • Travel between facilities as needed to support employees and leadership teams.
  • Develop strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
  • Lead recruiting efforts for both hourly/line‑level manufacturing positions and salaried professional and leadership roles.
  • Develop and maintain effective recruiting pipelines for production, skilled trades, engineering, maintenance, supervisors, managers, and executive‑level positions.
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, recruiting firms, employee referrals, community organizations, and other channels.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, establish hiring requirements, conduct interviews, and make selection decisions.
  • Develop strategies to improve time‑to‑fill, quality of hire, retention, and recruiting costs.
  • Build relationships with local schools, technical programs, workforce development organizations, and community resources.
Compliance & HR Administration
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures, employee records, and documentation.
  • Support wage and salary administration, benefits, leave programs, and other HR processes.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA‑related HR requirements and other applicable manufacturing regulations.
  • Partner with leadership on workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and related matters.
Culture & Retention
  • Develop initiatives to attract, retain, and develop manufacturing talent.
  • Monitor turnover and identify root causes and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain a visible HR presence within the facilities and on the manufacturing floor.
  • Promote employee communication, engagement, accountability, and teamwork.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, or other high‑volume environments.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multiple locations or facilities.
  • Proven ability to recruit both hourly production employees and salaried leadership/professional talent.
  • Strong employee relations and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees from the manufacturing floor through executive leadership.
  • Experience with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between company locations as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
  • PHR or SPHR certification is also desirable.
  • Manufacturing or industrial HR experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing hourly recruiting strategies in a competitive labor market.
  • Experience with leadership development, succession planning, and organizational change.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, restructuring, rapid growth, or other organizational transformations.
