Job summary

Amcor is seeking an Accounting Analyst to perform transactional and analytical accounting activities supporting Operations Finance and multiple NA plants. You will work with a diverse group of stakeholders, driving insights from SAP and Power BI to improve financial performance.

The role requires collaboration with Plant Controllers, Finance teams, and Operations to ensure accurate month‑end close, costing accuracy, and robust forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2–4 years of experience analyzing financial results, variances and KPIs in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable recommendations.
• Understanding of cost accounting principles, including standard costing, inventory accounting and manufacturing variances preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with internal controls, account reconciliations and financial compliance requirements.
• Strong communication skills to convey financial concepts to finance and non‑finance audiences.
• Must be an effective team player and capable of moving up within the organization.
• Experience with SAP ERP (R3) and/or SAP BW/BPC or JD Edwards is a plus.
• Strong Excel and Power BI (or Tableau) skills to analyze performance and derive insights.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and insights to Operations, Plant Leadership and Finance using SAP, Power BI and other reporting tools.
• Assist month‑end close with journal entries and internal controls to ensure policy compliance.
• Support product costing activities, review standard vs actual costs, and maintain cost models and rates.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Compute freight accruals and resolve accounts payable issues.
• Assist in developing forecasts and budgets for Operations Finance.
• Contribute to special projects as required.
