Job summary

Amcor in Evansville, IN is seeking an Accounting Analyst to perform transactional and analytical accounting to support Operations Finance and the plants. You will work with SAP, Power BI, and other reporting tools to analyze costs, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities include month-end close, product costing, balance sheet reconciliations, and forecasts. Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–4 years of manufacturing finance analytics experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of cost accounting principles (standard costing, inventory accounting, variances).
• Experience with SAP ERP and BI tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and decision support to Operations, Plant Leadership, and Finance using SAP, Power BI, and reporting tools to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
• Assist month-end close with journal entries and internal control adherence.
• Support product costing activities including reviewing standard vs actual costs and maintaining quoting rates.
• Assist in balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform analytics like freight accrual calculations and AR/AP issue resolution.
• Support forecast and budget development for Operations Finance.
• Contribute to special projects as needed.
