Job summary

Slate is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to keep the plant's facilities, maintenance, engineering, and project management work organized and moving. You will be the central point of coordination for facility-related requests, vendors, and schedules while supporting the Head of Manufacturing Engineering.

In this role, you’ll help manage work orders, coordinate contractors, assist with project timelines, and maintain compliance documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, facilities management, communications, or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in facilities coordination, project coordination, admin support, or community engagement in manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact between facilities maintenance, manufacturing engineering, and project management teams.
• Track, prioritize, and follow up on facility work orders, service requests, and maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and service providers, including scheduling, site access, safety orientation, and documentation.
• Support planned shutdowns, equipment moves, layout changes, and plant improvement projects.
• Help maintain facility records, including floor plans, equipment lists, permits, inspection records, and compliance documentation.
• Monitor facility budgets, purchase requisitions, and invoices for facility and engineering projects.
• Assist project managers with scheduling, status tracking, meeting coordination, and reporting.
• Prepare meeting agendas, capture minutes and action items, and follow up on open items.
• Manage calendar, scheduling, and meeting logistics; coordinate travel arrangements and expense reporting.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence; screen and route incoming requests; handle confidential information with discretion.
• Organize department meetings, reviews, and events; coordinate plant tours and community relations activities.
