Job summary

General Mills in Minnesota is seeking a Manufacturing & Engineering Associate (MEA) for a full-time, 18-month rotational program designed to develop technical and people leadership capabilities in manufacturing and engineering.

You’ll rotate through processing, packaging and manufacturing systems, working with Operators, Technicians and Mechanics to grow coaching and team-building skills, preparing for leadership or engineering roles at a local plant.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Engineering degree in chemical, electrical, industrial, mechanical, food process, or related fields.
• Graduating in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.
• Strong academic record and demonstrated leadership and teamwork qualities.
• Pursuing Milling Science or Food Science for Milling-related roles.

Responsibilities

• Build capability through exposure to processing, packaging and manufacturing systems.
• Gain front-line exposure to 24/7 production and drive improvements to reduce losses.
• Learn from and lead operators, technicians and mechanics to develop leadership skills.
• Manage programs and participate in capital projects, system startups or initiative leadership.
