Job summary

General Mills is seeking Manufacturing & Engineering Associates for a fast-paced, 18‑month MEA rotational program designed to build technical leadership across manufacturing and engineering. Participants will rotate within one plant initially, with potential relocation to another site based on business needs and interests.

Starting February 2027 or July 2027, the program emphasizes hands-on experience in processing, packaging, and capital projects while developing people leadership and coaching

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Engineering degree in: Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Food Process, or Biological/Biosystems/Agricultural or related degree
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Milling Science, Food Science, or related degree for MEA Milling roles
• Graduating in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027

Responsibilities

• Building capability through exposure and ownership of processing, packaging and broad manufacturing systems
• Gaining front line exposure to 24/7 production to leverage problem solving and learning agility while driving improvements and eliminating losses
• Learning from and leading Operators, Technicians and Mechanics to grow coaching, team building and people-development skill set
• Managing programs to gain experiences of capital project ownership, new system startups and / or initiative leadership
