Job summary
General Mills' Manufacturing & Engineering Associate program is a fast-paced, 18-month full-time rotational development track designed to prepare MEAs for technical skill development and people leadership in manufacturing and engineering. MEAs are placed in one plant location for the duration and may relocate after program completion.
Minimum qualifications include pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in engineering fields with Winter 2026 or Spring 2027 graduation.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Engineering degree in Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Food Process, or Biological/Biosystems/Agricultural or related degree.
- Qualifications for MEA Milling roles: Milling Science, Food Science or related degree.
- Graduating in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.
Responsibilities
- Building capability through exposure and ownership of processing, packaging and broad manufacturing systems.
- Gaining front line exposure to 24/7 production to drive improvements and eliminate losses.
- Learning from Operators, Technicians and Mechanics to grow coaching and people-development skills.
- Managing programs to gain capital project ownership, new system startups or initiative leadership.
