Job summary

General Mills is seeking a Manufacturing & Engineering Associate for its MEA rotational program in the United States. The 18-month development track focuses on processing, packaging and broad manufacturing systems, with front-line exposure to 24/7 production and leadership growth opportunities.

Participants are prepared for technical skill development and people leadership experiences. The program places MEAs at one plant location and may relocate for the final role, with start dates in February

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Engineering degree in Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Food Process, or Biological/Biosystems/Agricultural or related degree
• Qualifications for MEA Milling roles: Milling Science, Food Science, or related degree
• Graduating in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027

Responsibilities

• Building capability through exposure and ownership of processing, packaging and broad manufacturing systems
• Gaining front line exposure to 24/7 production to drive improvements and reduce losses
• Learning from Operators, Technicians and Mechanics to grow coaching and people-development skills
• Managing programs to gain experience of capital project ownership, new system startups and initiative leadership
