Job summary

Brooks Instrument, part of ITW, seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Hatfield, PA to lead a team of engineers and technicians supporting Semi Thermal products. The role focuses on manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and continuous improvement to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Operations, Design, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure production readiness, leading new product introductions, and driving problem-solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, manufacturing, or related engineering discipline.
• Master's degree in engineering, business, or operations is preferred.
• Seven years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience; three years of direct people leadership preferred.
• Experience with semiconductor, thermal, flow-control, instrumentation, or electromechanical products preferred.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA, engineering change control, tooling, and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership, supervision, coaching, and development for the manufacturing engineers and engineering technicians supporting Semi Thermal products.
• Establish team goals, project priorities, resource assignments, and development plans aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure timely manufacturing engineering support for multiple shifts, prioritizing critical issues and maintaining communication.
• Partner with Operations leadership to resolve production constraints, reduce downtime, and address safety, quality, and delivery concerns.
• Lead development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, fixtures, work instructions, and production standards.
• Ensure prompt responses to production support requests and recurring process problems; supervise problem-solving and corrective actions.
• Drive Lean, ITW Toolbox, error-proofing, standard work, and waste reduction across value streams.
• Interface with Design, Quality, Product Marketing, and Sales to ensure manufacturability and readiness during product development.
