Job summary

Brooks Instrument in Hatfield, PA, part of ITW, seeks a Split Shift Production Supervisor for Vacuum and Pressure products. The role provides leadership across two shifts, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets while applying ITW Lean tools.

You will coordinate handoffs, set daily priorities, monitor KPI performance, and partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Materials, and HR to resolve issues and develop employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in engineering, technology, operations management, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum of three years supervisory or team-leadership experience in manufacturing or production.
• Experience supervising across multiple shifts or split-shift schedule preferred.
• Experience with vacuum, pressure, flow-control, instrumentation, semiconductor, or similar complex products preferred.
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, daily management, 5S, visual management, standard work, or other continuous improvement methods preferred.
• Experience in ISO 9001 or similar quality-system environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, daily direction, coaching, and performance management for first- and second-shift staff.
• Maintain overlapping shifts to ensure leadership visibility and accountability.
• Set daily production priorities, staffing, schedules, and output requirements.
• Coordinate handoffs between shifts and communicate status of production and issues.
• Ensure procedures and quality requirements are applied consistently across shifts.
• Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety rules and PPE usage.
• Lead daily management and gemba activities; review results and drive corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs such as safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and attendance.
